BRIEF HISTORY OF BANGLADESH CRICKET TEAM
The country of Bangladesh is situated in the continent of Asia . It is located in sub continent. Till 1971 , it was part of a country i.e. Pakistan . Bangladesh was known as East Pakistan . Some players from East Pakistan played in domestic teams of Pakistan
. Later on , due to disputes between political parties , East Pakistan
and West Pakistan separated . So East Pakistan was now named as Bangladesh . After 6 years of independence , means in 1977 , Bangladesh became an associate member of International Cricket Council.The national cricket team of Bangladesh was listed in top 15 teams to play matches of Inaugral ICC trophy which was conducted by ICC to give chance to non-tests playing teams
to participate in next mega event in the world of cricket i.e. world
cup . but , unfortunately Bangladesh could not qualify for world cup .
On historical date of 31 march 1986 for Bangladesh , they played
their first international ODI match against full member of international
cricket council . Bangladesh played against Pakistan and Pakistan won
that match by 7 wickets by easily chasing the target . Bangladesh qualified for the first time in Asia Cup in 1988
. And at that time , Bangladesh was hosting that event. This team lost
all the matches . After it , Bangladesh participated in several cricket
triangular and other tournaments and lost . But the time came when
Bangladesh won their first ODI match against Kenya . After it ,
it participated in many tournaments and also in world Cups . Bangladesh
played its first test match in 2000 . After getting some space in world of cricket , Bangladesh worked hard and hard . They improved a lot and now a days it is oneof the competitive team of the world.
