BRIEF HISTORY OF CRICKET OF PAKISTAN

The game cricket which has been become most popular game of Pakistan for years , was not started in Pakistan after its independence but it was played internationally before creation of Pakistan.The first international cricket match of Pakistan was played almost 12 years before creation of Pakistan that was played on 22 November 1935 in the famous , historical and most popolous city of Pakistan ,Karachi. this match was played between cricket team of Sindh and Australian cricket teams . And at that time when cricket was not familiar to majority of the citizens of the sub-continent and it was considered game of Britishers and wastage of time ,then at that time more than 5000 spectators came from all over the world and enjoy that match on the soil of sub-continent.

After the independence of Pakistan on 14 august 1947 , cricket developed swiftly in the nation and only after 4 years of independence the cricket team of Pakistan was given the status of test cricket team after the meeting of Imperial Cricket Conference in old city of England , Lords on 28 July 1952.At that time , the cricket team of Pakistan was ready to play all over the world and for that purpose Pakistan had to made a cricket team under the leadership of strong , full of potential , zealous , passionate , honest and expert players  .

At that time , Pakistan was lucky and got captain like Abdul Hafeez Kardar . Abdul Hafeez Kardar was first national cricket team captain of Pakistan .

Pakistan after getting the status of test cricket team , got its first test series with India in Delhi . Now-a-days Delhi is the capital of India.This first test series between Pakistan and India was held in the month of October in same year i.e. 1952 .Pakistan lost series by 1-2. After that , there was a tour of England for Pakistan after two years i.e. 1954 at stadium of Oval . At Oval , series was drawn by 1-1 where Pakistan showed his brilliant performance and Fazal Mehmood got 12 wickets in victory match against England.Now it was time for Pakistan to play test matches in home grounds . The first ever international match played by Pakistan in home ground was played between Pakistan and India in the first month of 1955 at Bangabandhu National Cricket Stadium , Dacca which was known as East Pakistan but now known as Bangladesh which is a separate nation from Pakistan.Rest of the 4 test matches were played in west Pakistan in the cities of Karachi , Bahawalpur , Peshawar and Lahore with all drawn matches and this was happened first time in cricket history..After that Pakistan became prominent team in world of cricket due to his brilliant performance.In next posts we will discuss its perfomances in all formats , in world cups and its quality.
